As the world, and especially the scientific community as leaders in the movement, is actively working towards a greener, more environmentally-friendly future, our mission was to design and manufacture the most energy-efficient nitrogen gas generator on the market - Horizen 24.

With Horizen 24, we have achieved this. This is down to several proprietary components which have been included in the build of the generator.

With the introduction of proprietary compressor technology, we now only need one compressor to achieve the same nitrogen outlet as we were previously able to achieve with dual compressors. This results in a 50% reduction in energy consumption compared to competing units meaning labs are saving on energy consumption through the reduction in the number of compressors in the unit.

Horizen 24 is also able to achieve more than 50% less heat output compared to other units. By reducing the heat output, Horizen 24 can help reduce your lab’s carbon footprint by reducing the requirement for air conditioning. Considering air conditioning results in around 20% of the electricity used in buildings today – and amounts to 10% of electricity consumption worldwide – it’s important to look at ways to reduce the requirement for frequent AC use. Greenhouse Gas Emissions are increasing from air conditioning, and they currently account for almost 4% of the world's overall greenhouse gas emissions.

Horizen 24, as with all of our gas generators, helps your lab to reduce your carbon footprint by removing the need for repeated deliveries of pressurized gas cylinders as you will have a constant, high-quality supply of lab gas at the touch of a button. Not only are you reducing your impact through delivery of gas, but when we consider the full implications of bulk gas we can see the difference we could make to the planet.

Bulk gas is mined from the earth as are the metals used to fabricate the cylinders these gases are stored in. By using a gas generator that produces nitrogen on demand, you are eradicating the need for these harmful practices.
