Aarti Industries implements PEAK Scientific gas generators for GC analysis
Aarti Industries is an Indian manufacturer of specialty chemicals and pharmaceuticals with a global footprint. The group manufactures chemicals used in the downstream manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, polymers, additives, surfactants, pigments, and dyes.
We spoke with Pramod Pandey and Mayank Dave, Quality Control In Charge and Head of QA/QC, at Aarti Industries to get an insight into their use of their PEAK Scientific hydrogen generator, nitrogen generator, and zero air generator for their GC application.
Typically what is the focus of your GC analysis - what sort of applications?
The focus of our GC analysis is purity and impurity profiling of solvent, pesticide, herbicide, and specialist chemicals used in rubber, dye, agrochemical, and polymer industries.
What PEAK Scientific generators do you have in your laboratory and what GC instruments do they supply?
We have the Precision stack which includes the hydrogen gas generator, zero air gas generator, and nitrogen gas generator. We used these for carrier and makeup gas in GC.
Is your generator used for carrier gas, detector gas, or both?
We use the generators for, both, carrier and detector gas.
Are you using a GC method(s) for your analysis? If yes, which method(s)?
Yes. IS/ASTM and purity, impurity, and residual solvent.
What prompted you to choose a PEAK generator for GC and how long have you used it?
We’ve had the generators for 2 years now and we chose PEAK Scientific based on previous experience and the reliability of the products.
What has been the key benefit of deploying PEAK generators for GC as opposed to your previous gas supply solution?
Cost savings, reliability, and safety (as we have reduced the number of gas cylinders in the lab).
How would you describe your PEAK generator purchasing experience in terms of speed of response, ease of ordering, catering to your needs, and timing of delivery?
In short: transparent, informative, and quick response.
Have you ever had a site visit from a PEAK engineer in relation to your generator for GC? If so, could you describe your experience of this support?
Yes. The engineer was good during installation and we had a very good response from the engineer.
Would you recommend PEAK Scientific generators to other laboratories? If yes, what would be your main reason for the recommendation?
We would definitely recommend PEAK Scientific. Some of the reasons would include ease of operation, compact generators, and they are a reliable solution.
